Michelle is the founder of Regain Retain Physiotherapy. She has been a registered physiotherapist for over 15 years. After practicing for more than a decade in Guelph and over a year in Hespeler, Cambridge, she is thrilled to bring her expertise to Galt, Cambridge. At the post-graduate level, she completed a combined clinical and research Master of Science in Advanced Orthopaedic Musculoskeletal-Manipulative Physiotherapy (OMPT) Specialization at McMaster University. Her research explored what is needed to develop a decision aid for physiotherapy cervical manipulation and mobilization across pediatric, adult, and older adult groups. She is also a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). Furthermore, she completed various Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Courses since 2011: Female and Male Urinary Incontinence, Women and Mens Pelvic Pain, Anorectal Disorders, Pregnancy, Hip/Pelvic Girdle Pain, and additional courses like Post-natal issues including Vaginal and Cesarian birth, Sexual pain/ Dyspareunia, Pelvic organ prolapse, Perimenopause and Menopause pelvic floor health issues, Mens health pelvic floor issues, including Pre- and post-prostate surgery, Erectile dysfunction and Premature ejaculation. Most of her caseload encompasses complex conditions. She believes in an evidence-based approach to treatment, incorporating specific advanced manual therapy skills, modalities such as taping and acupuncture (AFCI), exercise prescription, patient education, and, if needed, the biopsychosocial framework. She is passionate about lifelong learning through ongoing postgraduate clinical courses and conferences, which enable her to provide her patients with the best care.
