Evan Ashley is a Manual Osteopath, a graduate of the National Academy of Osteopathy (Toronto), and holds a BSc in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa. His work with the body began through athletics, kinesiology, and sports psychology, where he supported University of Ottawa sports teams in both gym and clinical settings. Over time, Evan’s curiosity expanded beyond athletic performance toward a deeper exploration of the body as an integrated whole. This led him to study yoga, breathwork, and a wide range of holistic healing modalities. Through years of hands-on experience, he developed a deep respect for the body’s interconnected nature—recognizing that pain or restriction in one area is often linked to imbalances elsewhere. Evan takes a holistic, root-cause approach to treatment. Rather than chasing symptoms, his focus is on understanding underlying patterns and supporting the body’s innate capacity to heal. By helping restore natural alignment and balance, his treatments aim to reduce pain and inflammation, improve mobility, and create lasting, meaningful change. He specializes in chronic pain, stiffness, mobility improvement, nervous system regulation, craniosacral therapy, and gentle emotional release techniques. Evan combines hands-on osteopathic treatment with movement-based insight and patient education, empowering individuals to feel more at ease in their bodies and move with greater freedom in everyday life. Originally from the Ottawa Valley, Evan grew up playing sports, singing around bonfires, and chasing rapids down the Ottawa River. Now newly arrived in Nanaimo, he’s excited to embrace island life. Outside the clinic, you’ll find him playing tennis (and pickleball), heading out on long hikes or backcountry camping trips, and doing his best to practice self-control around sweet treats while exploring new local coffee spots.
