Infinity Health Centre is thrilled to welcome Tom Van Houtte to our clinical team. Tom brings 19 years of experience in Orthopedic Manual Physiotherapy and Movement Assessment to Infinity Health Centre. He will be accepting new patients effective August 25th, 2023 and taking over care for all patients previously seen by Taofiq Aziz. Tom received his Masters in Physiotherapy in 2005 from the University Hasslet in Belgium. Furthering his education, Tom enrolled in a specialized 4 year Manual Therapy program at VMTV, Belgium in order to be equipped to offer his patients paralleled hands on treatment and insights into optimizing physical performance and functional movement. As a movement specialist, Tom goes beyond traditional physiotherapy practices, delving deep into the intricacies of how the body moves and functions. He is adept at analyzing movement patterns, identifying imbalances, and tailoring personalized treatment plans to address specific individual needs. In addition to his broad skill set, Tom also incorporates the use of dry needling in his practice. Dry needling is a highly effective technique that he employs to help relieve muscle pain, improve mobility, and promote healing. Tom’s introduction to acupuncture principles further complements his therapeutic approach, enabling him to integrate traditional Chinese medicine practices into his treatment plans for more holistic and comprehensive care. Tom’s commitment to ongoing professional development is evident in his recent enrolment in the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy program. His constant pursuit of knowledge underscores his dedication to staying at the forefront of advancements in evidence based Physiotherapy.
