Meet Dr. Evan Brown, D.Ac.,L.Ac. Dr. Brown is a classically trained acupuncturist that specializes in distal acupuncture methods, primarily incorporating The Balance Method, originated by Dr. Richard Teh-Fu Tan, and the Master Tung method of acupuncture. Additionally, Dr. Brown is an instructor for Battlefield Acupuncture (BFA) and trained by the founder of the technique, Dr. Richard C. Niemtzow, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H. He obtained his Master’s diploma in Classical Chinese Medicine from the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine and his Doctorate of Acupuncture from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM), later renamed the Pacific College of Health and Science. Dr. Brown is a licensed acupuncturist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and certified by the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a Diplomate of Acupuncture. Dr. Brown was the founding acupuncturist for the University of Kentucky Integrative and Health Services Clinic and currently specializes in Veteran health and chronic pain issues. Evan’s focus is on the pragmatic use of acupuncture for modern health concerns.
