In 2010, after realizing the stress of a corporate life was taking a toll on her health and well being, Kathy enrolled in the Healing Touch program held at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Discovering a new found passion in healing she graduated from the Living Arts Institute in Winston Salem obtaining her Massage Therapist license. As a believer in the inseparable connection between mind, body, spirit, and the bodys ability to heal itself, she is a proponent of massage and therapeutic touch for relieving physical and emotional stress and restoring health and wholeness. After consulting with her clients about their issues and concerns, she intentionally creates a massage that will suit your specific need with an approach that offers harmony, restorative balance, and stress and pain relief to the mind, body and spirit. Her focus is on Therapeutic Massage incorporating Healing Touch, Prenatal Massage, and Medicupping Therapy Massage. Kathy incorporates Healing Touch in all of her massages. Healing Touch is a heart-centered caring relationship between Kathy and the client, coming together energetically to facilitate the clients health and healing. It is a biofield therapy that uses touch to influence the human energy system thus supporting your natural ability to heal. Studies have shown that the effects of Healing Touch can significantly reduce the related symptoms of PTSD. Medicupping Therapy Massage cupping is considered to be one of the oldest healing therapies in the world. Silicone cups are used to break up knots and adhesions promoting the flow of blood and lymphatic fluids all while creating a relaxing state and supporting overall good health. Today, many professionals athletes incorporate cupping to enhance their overall performance, agility and recovery time. 30 minutes of cupping is great for pre and post sport events. Cupping also works well for carpal tunnel, fibromyalgia, breaking up old scar tissue, cellulite treatment and more.
