With over 21 years of professional experience in birthwork and manual therapy, Sarah integrates a variety of bodywork and massage techniques alongside movement and positioning methods inspired by Spinning Babies and other result-driven birth and body preparation approaches. Her practice is intentional, intuitive, honest, and effective. At NOM, she is our Prenatal and Postpartum therapy specialist, providing: Prenatal/Pregnancy Massage Postpartum Massage Infant Massage Instruction for Parents & Caregivers Women's Wellness Massage Childbirth Education classes In 2000, Sarah began attending doula and midwifery workshops with The Farm Midwives, where she had the privilege of learning from Ina May Gaskin and other renowned midwives and herbalists focused on women's health. In 2003, she studied massage therapy at the Natural Health Institute in Nashville, TN, focusing on prenatal massage, and became certified as an Infant Massage Instructor. Sarah continued her education at The Matrona under midwife Whapio Bartlett in Asheville, NC, earning her certification as a Holistic Doula. Later, in 2009 she completed her Yoga Teacher Certification through Sanctuary Yoga in Nashville and then became certified in Assisted Lymphatic Therapy in 2019. Sarah is a wife and mother of five, with children ranging from 8 to 24 years old. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, cooking, attending live music events, and spending time with her loved ones. Her greatest joys are her family, friends, and her loyal dog, Willa.
