Demi de Block, PT, BSc., BSc. (Hons) is a UK and Cayman registered Physiotherapist, with a diverse academic background and a wealth of international experiences. She began her journey in the world of health and wellness with a BSc in Exercise Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Demi further refined her studies with a BSc Honours Physiotherapy degree at the Amsterdam University of Applied Science. Her commitment to global learning is evident in her experiences spanning the United States, South Africa, and the Netherlands. Having invaluable hands-on exposure in post-surgical care, sports rehabilitation, vertigo/balance disorders, and various musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions. Furthermore, Demi developed a keen interest in paediatrics throughout her academic career, dedicating her final studies to this area of expertise. She finds fulfilment in supporting parents through their child’s motor milestone development, treating 0-18 year olds with orthopaedic impairments, and managing various other conditions including cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, positional plagiocephaly, etc. Demi’s approach to physiotherapy is rooted in personalised care, meticulously assessing each patient’s needs. She incorporates evidence-based treatment modalities, including customized exercise plans, kinesio taping, shockwave therapy, and patient education. Additionally, Demi is proficient in manual therapy and massage techniques, which she employs to enhance patient wellness, relieving pain, improving mobility, and restoring function. Beyond her professional endeavors, Demi is an avid advocate for an active lifestyle. In her free time, she enjoys running, swimming, snorkeling, kite-surfing, competing in Gaelic, gardening, and walks along 7-mile beach.
