Sydney was born in Calgary and has lived in many different Canadian cities such as Vancouver, Toronto, and Kingston. She grew up playing many sports, most notably basketball. She unfortunately suffered some pesky injuries, getting surgeries such as an ACL reconstruction and a shoulder instability surgery. During this time, she developed a love for physiotherapy, hoping to empower and care for others the same way in the future. Sydney now holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, and a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University. Sydney likes to tailor her treatment to her patient’s preferences, utilizing a multitude of treatments such as manual therapy, exercise, education, and modalities to help get patients back to what they love doing. Sydney has also pursued continuing education courses, receiving certifications in EIM Level 1 Dry Needling, MOOC Concussion course, and the Concussion Awareness Training Tool for Medical Providers. She also provides physio services in both English (fluent) and Mandarin (conversational). In her free time, Sydney enjoys weight-lifting and training. She has a special interest in sporting and weight-lifting injuries. She enjoys building comprehensive exercise programs utilizing strength and conditioning principles. Additionally, Sydney enjoys playing basketball, playing volleyball, and hiking. She also is a big traveler and loves seeing new places in the world.
