MScPT, BScKin Registered Physiotherapist Owner, Ridgeline Physiotherapy I completed my Master’s of Physiotherapy at McMaster University in 2019 and my BSc at the University of Victoria in 2016. Although originally from Ontario, I have always loved the mountains, and am so excited to call Fernie my home! As a multisport athlete, I understand the demands of various sports including mountain biking, skiing, field sports such as soccer, field hockey and rugby, hiking/mountaineering, whitewater paddling, and rock climbing. I have competed as a member of the Canadian National Cycling Team representing in Mountain Biking, the University of Victoria Women’s Field Hockey Team, and represented Ontario in Mountain Biking, Alpine Skiing, and Field Hockey. As a previous elite athlete, I have a strong understanding of the demands of sport and how to tailor rehabilitation to the goals of the individual. As a coach and previous outdoor educator, I have a passion for education that enables me to help individuals understand their body and meet their unique needs. I believe in an active approach to rehab, and approach rehab through a lens of strength and conditioning programming. I have a particular interest in working with athletes, older adults, those experiencing chronic pain, people interested in fall prevention programs, individuals with complex medical histories, and any individual who is ready to take an active approach to rehab. In addition to treating orthopedic injuries, I treat people who are having vestibular and concussion-related symptoms. I have a strong interest in injury prevention, and I look forward to helping you reduce your risk of future injury. I believe education and exercise are the foundations of rehabilitation, and I use this to tailor treatment plans to meet your unique needs. I look forward to exploring these with you and empowering you to return to the activities you love. I believe everyone regardless of age, race, gender, medical history, or physical ability has the right to engage with life in the way that they desire. My goal is to support you in reaching your goals and helping you develop and execute a plan to get you there. Outside work, you can find me in the mountains! I love to hike, mountaineer, mountain bike, ski (both on resort and in the backcountry!) whitewater paddle, climb, and trail run. I love to travel, and recently returned from trekking for 6 weeks in Nepal. Ask me about my adventures outside and I will always have a new story for you! I run injury prevention workshops with teams and clubs, if you are interested in running a workshop in person or virtually please reach out to us at the clinic! I am passionate about concussion care, I have been supporting concussion and vestibular clients for the last 5 years. I have completed multiple courses in the area, including recently completing a 6-month education and mentorship program called ‘Concussion Nerds’. This is a program that is leading the evolution in concussion care in Canada, keeping up with best practice, and continuously keeping updated with ongoing concussion research in rehabilitation and technology. I look forward to meeting you! See you out in the mountains!
