Dr. Melanie Furtado HBsc, DC Dr. Melanie graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science and received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She holds additional certifications in Active Release Technique, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, and is a certified GLA:D Canada Program Administrator. An avid athlete and sports enthusiast, Dr. Melanie played varsity fastpitch throughout her four years at McMaster, continues to play hockey and softball recreationally, and has recently taken up curling! She has completed two half marathons, and stays active in the community as a volunteer coach for KW Special Olympics Powerlifting. Dr. Melanie is passionate about empowering her patients to improve their overall health and make meaningful lifestyle changes that help them achieve their personal goals and experience lasting benefits of care.
