Shelley graduated from the University of Alberta in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science Degree, with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology. In 2002, she graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. Since then Shelley has worked in private practice in Edmonton and Sherwood Park. She has undertaken post-secondary training in manual therapy for the spine, peripheral joints and the TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint), treatment of movement impairment syndromes, vestibular rehabilitation, and running analysis and injuries. Shelley has completed her medical acupuncture diploma taught by Dr. Aung, through the University of Alberta, Faculty of Extension. She has also taken Dr. Gunn’s Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) Course and is certified to do IMS and Acupuncture. Her special interests are traditional Chinese medical acupuncture, IMS, sport-related injuries and post-surgical patients. On her days off, Shelley likes to work out, attend yoga classes, run, golf, ski, snowboard, roller blade, and read. She likes to spend her time doing many outdoor activities such as biking, hiking and camping. But her most favourite past time activity is spending it with her husband and young daughter. Shelley is an avid traveller and has so much more of the world to see.
