Valerie graduated from York University with a Specialized Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences as well as a Certificate in Athletic Therapy . She then earned her Diploma in Massage Therapy from the Ontario College of Health and Technology, and her Contemporary Medical Acupuncture certification from McMaster University. She has also earned her Diploma in Osteopathy from the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto, where she was the recipient of the William Garner Sutherland Thesis Award for Clinical Research for her thesis on “The Effect of Global Osteopathic Treatment for Postpartum Pelvic Girdle Pain: A Study Design”. She is also currently an instructor across multiple streams of the Massage Therapy Program at OCHT. While beginning her career working predominantly with amateur and professional athletes, Valerie is enjoying expanding her focus to include women’s health issues with a special interest in both prenatal and postnatal care, PMS, perimenopause and menopause.
