Ali is a Registered Massage Therapist and 2022 graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences with a Minor in Gerontology from Simon Fraser University, where she was also a member of the varsity swim team. Ali’s approach to massage therapy is rooted in individualized care and a genuine interest in helping each client feel and move their best. During her time at WCCMT, she gained experience through a variety of in-reach and outreach programs, treating a diverse range of conditions and injuries. Her experience with UBC Varsity Athletics was particularly meaningful, combining her clinical interests with her own background as a competitive swimmer and equestrian rider. She has experience working with sports and overuse injuries, postural imbalances, headaches, chronic pain conditions, and pre- and post-natal care. Ali draws from a range of techniques, including Swedish massage, neuromuscular techniques, stretching, myofascial work, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). She takes a collaborative approach to treatment, tailoring each session to her clients’ individual needs, goals, and lifestyles. Outside of the clinic, Ali enjoys staying active through strength training and yoga, as well as spending time with her dog, friends, and family.
