Tanya graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in 2007 and a Master of Physical Therapy in 2010. Tanya loves to learn and has completed several continuing education courses. She stands out among her peers because she strives to treat the root cause of symptoms, rather than just the symptoms themselves. Tanya focuses on individual functional and athletic rehabilitation using state of the art treatment and modalities, including: *Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) *Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) *Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) *Active rehabilitation and exercise prescription *Acupuncture and dry needling *Muscle/Myofascial Release Therapy (MRT) *Tissue Distraction Release With Movement (TDR-WM or Cupping) *Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) *Spinal and peripheral joint mobilizations and manipulations (excluding cervical manipulation) *Spinal traction/decompression *Nerve mobilizations *Mulligan technique *McKenzie method *Therapeutic taping and bracing *Vertigo (BPPV) treatment *Concussion management *TMJ (jaw) treatment *Scar management *Eye tracking dysfunction treatment (via NKT) *External pelvic floor treatment (via NKT) *Paediatric treatment (i.e. torticolis, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, etc.) *Laser, Ultrasound and IFC Aside from treating Orthopaedic conditions, Tanya has a keen interest in Paediatrics and has volunteered with Paediatric populations in Nepal and Vietnam. When she’s not chasing after her rambunctious child, Tanya enjoys travelling, cooking, being outdoors and listening to good music.
