Alec completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University, and his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at Robert Gordon University in Scotland. There, he worked as a physiotherapist for the National Health Service in different settings including community rehabilitation, cancer, gastrointestinal and geriatric medical wards, orthopaedic surgery, and musculoskeletal outpatient. He also worked in private practice in Canada helping people with mainly muskuloskeletal conditions. Alec enjoys working with people of all ages with different physical injuries, symptoms, impairments, or health goals. He has a large sport background in distance running and rowing and enjoys working with athletic and active populations as well. Alec also has a keen interest in chronic pain. He understands that for those living with pain the road can be challenging and seem unending at times. It is his goal to help this population feel supported when exploring ways of improving quality of life and regaining a sense of control over their situation.
