In Good Hands Massage Therapy
215 N. Bridge Street, Grand Ledge, MI, 48837
I’ve been a Massage Therapist for over 10 years, originally licensed in my home state of New Mexico and have since transferred my licensing to Michigan. To me, it’s more than business, this is simply what my heart is called to do. I specialize in using massage therapy to address stress, anxiety, depression, addiction and PTSD. Massage has a multitude of benefits! Physical benefits include reduced tension, increased blood flow, lowered heart rate and regulated breathing. The emotional benefits (and my favorite) include, lowered cortisol (hormone associated with adrenaline), increased serotonin (feel-good hormone) and a promoted sense of self. Massage truly encourages that mind-body connection that often times, those with trauma disassociate as a means to self preserve.
Massage
The therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart.
