Therapeutic Massage (often referred to as Deep Tissue) is a type of treatment massage designed to remove severe tension and relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface. It does NOT have to hurt to be effective! Therapeutic Massage improves range of motion, helps heal injuries below the surface, and provides relief from activated trigger/tender points. Myofascial Release techniques may also be incorporated to stretch and repair connective issue between your muscles (fascia).
