My name is Kathleen Porter and I specializes in the care of your health and wellbeing. I have been a medical massage practitioner since 2016 graduated from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts of Massage Therapy. My focus is in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) therapy, Post-Surgical Manual Lymph (PS-MLD Therapy, Oncology Massage, Medical Therapeutic Massage and Reiki. I am a member of American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and Society of Oncology Massage (S4OM). In order to ensure I am employing the latest medical massage therapy techniques and continue to earn the trust and confidence of my clients, I continually research the latest periodicals as well as enrolled in continuing education courses that focus on the latest treatments. Massage
Medical Therapeutic Massage Therapy is the physical manipulation in massage that has two major physical effects: Great for Fibromyalgia clients. Increase in blood and lymph circulation. Relaxation and normalization of the soft tissue (muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments), which releases nerves and deeper connective tissues. With Medical Swedish Therapeutic Massage we uses smooth, gliding strokes, gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Therapy is a light, skin-stretching therapy that helps promote the movement of lymphatic fluid out of the swollen limb. MLD is specifically focused on the lymph vessels to help the flow of lymphatic fluid. MLD is prescribed as a treatment by a doctor and carried out by a practicing therapist. MLD is combined with compression treatment in order to achieve that the edema does not spread.
