Originally from Kingston, Ontario, Andrew attended Queen’s University for a Bachelor of Kinesiology. Drawn to the world of health care, he then attended the compressed time-frame RN program at Western University. After practicing as RN for 2 years he realized a new goal to combine his passion for healthcare and his personal interests in sport, exercise and rehabilitation. Becoming a physiotherapist was the clear choice for pursuing this goal and he returned to Queen’s to complete his Masters in Physiotherapy. Andrew is an avid cyclist and, in the summer of 2018, cycled 7,380 km unsupported from Victoria, BC to St. John’s, NL. Cycling continues to be one of his passions both on the road and on the trails. Andrew has also been involved in triathlon for the last 5 years and has completed 3 Half Ironman races. He is looking forward to getting back into racing after a couple of years of cancelations. As he is new in town, Andrew is also very excited to be so close to the world class hiking, biking, and skiing in the Elk Valley. As a therapist, Andrew is all about encouraging pain free movement through the use of exercise, manual therapy and physiotherapy modalities. He is a self-described generalist and has knowledge in treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. He is particularly interested in helping active persons of all ages return to their recreational activities, pain free! He takes a client centred approach to develop an individualized treatment plan to achieve your goals. When you see Andrew, you can expect to have your specific concerns regarding your pain addressed and leave the session feeling listened to.
