Matt McGill, PT MSc.PT, BSc (Hons) Matt completed his Bachelor of Science in Honours Psychology at the University of Waterloo and his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University in 2017. After graduating Matt moved to Peterborough where he worked in a community practice providing rehabilitation for a wide variety of neurological conditions ranging from concussion to progressive neurological conditions. Since joining WSM, Matt has achieved his certification in Dry Needling through Acupuncture Canada. He has completed advanced training in concussion rehabilitation and continues to work with athletes returning to sport. Matt incorporates manual therapy techniques, dry needling, therapeutic exercise, and education into his approach to treatment to facilitate pain relief, regain strength, and achieve functional goals. Matt has a passion for many sports including soccer, volleyball, badminton, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, and long distance running. While at university Matt competed with both the University of Waterloo and Queen’s varsity ultimate teams, winning a national title with Queen’s in 2016. Most recently Matt has focused on resistance training and long distance running, and has set personal best times for 10k, half marathon, and full marathon in 2023. Matt is now a proud father of two girls, and now in his spare time pursues his passion as an amateur home coffee enthusiast.
