A wonderful massage starts with listening and understanding. I understand that a massage can feel a lot of different ways. Sometimes it is gentle, soothing and relaxing. Other times it is deeply therapeutic, intense, and immensely relieving. I begin by listening to you. Tell me about what brings you in, and tell me how you want to leave my office. I will listen to your words with my ears, and I will listen to your body with my hands. My massage is generally styled after the classic Swedish techniques. I have training in other modalities as well, and will occasionally incorporate them. While working, I rely heavily on my intuition and my sense of touch, which means that no two massages are ever the same.
