Innes graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters degree in Physiotherapy in 2011. Born in Vancouver, she moved to Calgary for over a decade and accumulated a breadth of experience in the areas of critical care, cardiorespiratory management, post-surgical recovery, and stroke and brain injury rehabilitation. Having worked with patients from acute care to community settings, she understands the patient experience at each stage. She completed post-graduate education in different areas of practice including the NDTA Certificate Course for the Management of Adults with Stroke and Brain Injury, and Upper Quadrant Courses. She was a therapist with the University of Calgary for stroke rehabilitation. Before returning to Vancouver, Innes spent three years as a rehabilitation lead for therapists in acute care. Innes utilizes individualized movement programs, functional exercises, manual therapy techniques, IASTM, dry needling and various modalities. She helps patients understand their injury, reduce their pain, and return to activities that are important to them. She is fluent in English and Cantonese. Outside the clinic, Innes spends time with her young family, and enjoys local breweries and coffee shops with good company. She has also been a drummer for many jazz, indie and rock bands in Alberta and BC.
