Kevin shares a passion for personal wellness, preventative healthcare and rehabilitation. He started his career as a Behavior Interventionist teaching families and children with autism methods to cope with daily life activities. Following this, Kevin graduated with a Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma. He then began working at Surrey Memorial Hospital along side Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to rehabilitate patients suffering from cognitive and motor incapabilities. While working as a Rehabilitation Assistant, Kevin gained a vast range of experiences working with patients in the ICU, emergency, surgical and acute care units. Kevin further continued his education and graduated from the Langara Registered Massage Therapy program where he gained experience treating clients using a variety of massage modalities. Growing up, Kevin enjoyed playing volleyball and had an opportunity to compete at both the provincial and national level. These days, he continues to play recreationally in outdoor grass leagues. Kevin is also an avid dodgeball player. He can be found on the dodgeball court three to four nights of the week. Through his career in athletics, Kevin has personally experienced sports related injuries ranging from ankle sprains to rotator cuff tears and even a clavicle fracture. He draws on a combination of his work and personal experience to better relate to clients. Kevin believes that communication and client rapport are key to an effective treatment plan. He works hard to establish a client-therapist relationship built on trust and genuine mutual respect. Ensuring a client’s needs and concerns are acknowledged is his top priority.
