With a foundation in wilderness medicine and nursing and a deep respect for holistic care, Acacia transitioned into acupuncture to offer a more integrative approach to healing. Her work is rooted in Classical Chinese Medicine, where she is specializing in women’s health, nervous system dysfunction, and orthopedic acupuncture—supporting patients through everything from hormonal balance and fertility to pain management and injury recovery. She brings a clinical, detail-oriented perspective from her nursing background while embracing the root cause, whole-person philosophy of Eastern medicine. After a thorough intake assessment and conversation about goals, the patient can expect a highly individualized treatment plan with a variety of modalities best suited for specific needs. Modalities include acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, tui na (Chinese massage), electroacupuncture, and dry needling. Outside the clinic, she is most at home in the outdoors—guiding rivers, trail running, gardening, and hiking with her pack of rescue dogs. These experiences continue to shape her understanding of resilience, balance, and the body’s innate capacity to heal.
Initial Intake - Comprehensive consultation and first acupuncture treatment tailored to your health concerns. Acupuncture is a therapy that uses fine needles placed at specific points on the body to relieve pain, improve function, and support overall balance. [Additional modalities that may be used during acupuncture treatment: Gua Sha: A scraping technique that releases fascia, improves circulation, and relieves muscle tension to support healing. Tui Na: A hands-on therapy using massage and manipulation to improve circulation, reduce pain, and restore balance. Smokeless Moxibustion: A gentle heat therapy using smokeless moxa (dried mugwort) to warm acupuncture points, improve circulation, and support the body's yang energy.]
