Angela CMT & Reiki Master, M.Ed. Science Education, B.S. Angela is also a reiki practitioner: providing reiki meditation/relaxation and /or healing sessions either hands on or touch free. Angela became interested in massage at age 8, when her great aunt whose one of many professions was reflexology: resolved her stomach pain with a "magic foot rub". Over the years, Angela learned about self-care and how massage therapy can positively impact health and well-being. After doing data analysis for an environmental lab, working as evening supervisor for the School of Health at the University of MN, a stint as a retail greenhouse manager, and part time waiting tables and being a gardener, she earned her M.Ed. in Science Education. Angela spent 25 years teaching science to secondary school students, took up travel, scuba, swimming, hiking, and worked as a summer naturalist and laboratory technician. When her son came into her life, she spent as much time with him as she could every summer. Today she works as a scientist and as a massage therapist. She also loves art and music, and sings with a chorus and sometimes does an open mic here and there. In 2022, Angela graduated from The Massage School - St. Paul campus. She enjoys adapting techniques used to help clients' relaxation and healing. She particularly loves to deliver a fluid, relaxing, even-pressure massage.
Massage
60 min massage - therapeutic, with needed modalities: Swedish relaxation, deep tissue, dermoneuromodulation (DNM), positional release, cross fiber friction and some myofascial release techniques.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD - Vodder Method) is a gentle, rhythmic technique that helps support your body’s natural lymphatic system—the network responsible for moving fluid, reducing swelling, and clearing waste. Instead of deep pressure, MLD uses light, precise strokes that encourage lymph flow, calm the nervous system, and promote a sense of overall balance. It’s especially helpful after surgery, during recovery, or anytime you want to reduce puffiness and support your body’s natural detox processes. 60-minutes is an excellent choice for upper or lower body or specific areas to address.
