Colleen Boddez has over 30 years of experience in various disciplines of Massage Therapy. Shortly after finishing High School, Colleen became a Shiatsu Practitioner, then went on to graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1993. Colleen has training in many different techniques. She will often use a combination of techniques to alleviate a health condition. These include CoAT Method (a myofascial release technique), Lymphatic Drainage, Brain Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy and Neuromuscular Therapy. Colleen specializes in CoAT Method, which helps to release scar tissue and restricted fascia from current and previous injuries. When the body experiences trauma, the fascia of the body adheres to the injured area to protect it. However, over time, the tissue becomes dehydrated and restricts movement. This causes pain within the body. CoAT Method is a gentle myofascial technique that rehydrates tissue, which in turn relieves pain and helps the body move with more ease. Colleen has treated a wide variety of conditions, including pain in the back, shoulders, neck, arms, legs, and nerves. Additionally, she has treated sciatica, headaches, brain fog, body tension from stress, digestive issues, carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, joint swelling, postural misalignment, and much more. Outside of work, Colleen enjoys reading, doing small art projects, staying fit and cooking healthy organic meals.
