I received my Diploma in Chinese Medicine from Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Faculty of Health, graduating with distinction. Concurrently I had the chance to intern at Villa Cathay Care Home in Vancouver, where I was able to treat complex and rare conditions under the guidance of leading experts in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In early 2026 I had the privilege of interning with Yinstill's fine team of professionals and immediately felt like I had found home. My passion for East Asian medicine began long before this in Tibet, where I was treated by the late physician to the Dalai Lama—an experience that shaped my lifelong dedication to healing. I have since wanted to find ways to pay that compassion forward and provide people with what they need for their own physical and emotional journeys: undivided attention, clear explanations, and unique, holistic treatments. My approach is also informed by my previous experience as an award winning filmmaker and later, high school teacher - I place high value on helping patients understand their health concerns so that they can participate confidently and meaningfully in their own story. My time living and working in three different continents has convinced me that the healing journey is universal and can provide one of the deepest insights into ourselves and nature. I am currently living in downtown Vancouver with my wife, Lisha, and Gunnar the hound dog. When I'm not working or in the forest, I can be found at the local cafes sketching and making comics.
