JOE ACCEPTS WSBC CLAIMS! Joe graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BSc in Kinesiology and a Master’s in Physical Therapy (2017). He enjoys treating a wide-range of musculoskeletal conditions and gets great satisfaction from helping people move better in order to do the things they love. It is important to Joe that his treatment methods are backed by evidence and his focus is for patients to learn and understand their rehabilitation, incorporating it into their daily lives. Joe supplements a hands-on approach with his strong background in exercise prescription, having spent five years working as a certified personal trainer/kinesiologist. He also specializes in educating patients about functional movement patterns, having completed Functional Movement Systems 1 and 2. This additional education helps Joe empower clients with the knowledge and confidence they need to accelerate their rehabilitation process and prevent re-injury. Joe holds certifications in a number of post-graduate courses including Mackenzie’s Lumbar Spine Part A, Mulligan’s Mobilisation with Movement and Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS / dry needling). He has completed Level 3 in the Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Diploma. Joe is eager to continue to build upon his skill set and looks forward to taking courses in pain science and concussion management in the near future. Joe recently moved to the North Shore with his wife and dog and they are very impressed at how the area has managed to exceed expectations. Joe is an avid sportsman, and currently enjoys working with the Vancouver Strikers of the VMSL as their team physio. He also works as a Clinical Skills Assistant at UBC, assisting the current physio program cohort. Joe would love to talk to you about your movement goals and interests, and help you get back to your best.
