With her expertise in Reiki, Mary Anne creates a calming environment that allows clients to fully relax during treatments. She believes that calming the nervous system is the first step toward muscle and body relaxation, which is essential for healing. Mary Anne pursued formal training in massage therapy to gain a deeper understanding of the connection between the body, mind and spirit. Her journey began when she observed how a few simple Thai Yoga Massage techniques during a Reiki treatment brought relief to clients suffering from chronic pain. Mary Anne believes in the “string theory of healing,” which likens the body to a string. A flat string represents perfect health, while knots signify pain points. The tension from these knots affects other areas of the body where additional focus needs to be done. Passionate about continuous learning, Mary Anne enjoys sharing her knowledge and troubleshooting the body’s complexities. In her personal time, she loves reading, spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who bring immense joy to her life. She also enjoys cooking for family and friends and is currently exploring the art of sourdough bread making.
