Get to Know Me My name is Alicia Nelis, and I am the owner of this space. I am a licensed massage therapist in Michigan. I have been in the industry since 2006 along the lakeshore from Grand Haven to Saugatuck. I have many years of experience working with different chiropractors and in spa settings. With my many years of experience and a growing family I decided to open my very own small massage business in 2019, and thus Sandalwood and Stone was created. It had always been a goal of mine since graduating massage school to own and operate my own business. With my many years of experience, I have completed many courses in continuing education to expand my massage knowledge and techniques to better serve my clients. I have completed courses for pain management, fibromyalgia, advance trigger point therapy, John F. Barnes myofascial release, and cupping therapy. I also have my certification as an acudetox specialist (auricular/ ear acupuncture) utilizing the NADA Protocol, am a certified hand and foot reflexologist with Branch Reflexology Institue, and a degree in medical assisting and phlebotomy from Davenport University. I have become proficient in a variety of massage styles to individualize each session to the specific needs and preferences of my clients. Some modalities I excel in are deep tissue, relaxation, medical massage, myofascial release, cupping, auricular (ear) acupuncture, hand and foot reflexology, and pre/postnatal massage. I have a love and passion for learning body and energy work. I have plans of continuing to expand my knowledge of current, as well new modalities in the future so that I can better help my clients.
