Sherry Jobani founded Unplug Hour Wellness in 2018 with a vision to create a space where patients feel heard, understood and supported in their health. As Founder and Clinical Director, her approach is grounded in the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine and shaped by a longstanding interest in biomedical medicine. Sherry is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCM.P.) and Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.) in British Columbia. She earned her Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine degree from the Pacific Rim School of Complementary and Integrative Medicine. Before pursuing Traditional Chinese Medicine, her undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia included science and counselling. This early exposure to biomedical medicine helped shape the perspective she brings to her practice today and continues to influence how she considers Traditional Chinese Medicine alongside biomedical care. Reproductive and perinatal health are significant areas of Sherry's clinical practice. She supports patients through fertility treatment, IVF and IUI, preconception care, pregnancy, prenatal preparation and postpartum recovery. Sherry is familiar with IVF treatment protocols, allowing her to understand what patients may be experiencing at each stage and thoughtfully coordinate acupuncture care around treatment cycles, embryo transfer preparation, and pre and post transfer care. Her experience also includes supporting patients with PCOS, endometriosis, menstrual irregularities, recurrent pregnancy loss and male factor fertility concerns. Sherry's practice extends well beyond reproductive health, supporting both adults and children with a wide range of concerns. Her continued clinical education has included pediatric care with advanced training in the Shonishin method, allergies, the relationship between emotional wellbeing and physical health, and pain management. This additional training builds on her Traditional Chinese Medicine education and informs the individualized approach she brings to each patient. Facial acupuncture is another important area of Sherry's practice. She has completed advanced training in microneedling and aesthetic techniques, incorporating microneedling, facial acupuncture, gua sha and facial cupping into an individualized approach that considers both skin health and the person as a whole. Beyond the clinic, Sherry treasures time with her children and finds joy in baking. Sherry also speaks Farsi.
