Katie graduated from the University of Toronto in 2011, with a Masters of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. Since, she has worked in private practice in various orthopaedic clinics, mostly in the Durham Region. Early in her career she spent time in Whistler, British Columbia where she got experience working with elite and recreational athletes, including professional skiers, snowboarders and mountain bikers, as well as National and Olympic athletes. Katie practices dry needling, and has additional training in taping, the Mulligan Technique, McKenzie Method and Functional Movement Screening Techniques. She values the importance of continuing education, and continues to pursue these opportunities. Outside of work Katie is involved in recreational sports, loves spending time at the cottage with her family, enjoys snowboarding when she can find time, and is trying to instill a love of healthy movement in her three young children.
