Barb Tyers RMT
Alpine Meadows , Whistler, BC, V8E0G3
My name is Barb Tyers. I am a RMT who moved to Whistler from Vancouver for the mountain lifestyle. I love helping people with massage treatments to get back out playing and moving pain free. Prior to earning my RMT certification, I was a personal trainer for 13 years and competed at the national level in field hockey and ice hockey. Before moving out west, I earned a bachelor’s degree in physical and health education with honours from University of Toronto. I attended the 3000 hour RMT program at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT), where I taught health science courses to future RMT’s for years. I have taken many continuing education courses in a variety of massage techniques, focusing a lot on Craniosacral techniques to help treat concussions and headaches. When I am not massaging, you will find me out trail running, mountain biking, backcountry skiing, snowboarding, and practicing yoga. I love living in the Whistler community and meeting like minded adventurers!
