Dr. Alim Hirji D.C. has education from the University of Alberta, and Red Deer College in the background of adapted physical education and kinesiology. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, he went on to attain a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Biology, and his Chiropractic Degree from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. Attending UWS allowed Dr. Alim to acquire evidence-based practice knowledge that embodies joint manipulations, soft tissue techniques, and active care rehabilitation to provide the best care. Dr. Alim has also acquired his contemporary medical acupuncture license from McMaster University, and uses forms of IMS (intramuscular skeletal), standard biomechanical acupuncture, and electroacupuncture in his practice. He has also specialized in TMJ assessment and treatment through various seminars. Extra certifications in RockTaping techniques and Graston soft tissue tools have also been completed by Dr. Alim, and finds them effective as a part of wellness care. Being a young athlete that received the benefits of chiropractic care, Dr. Alim hopes to give back and spend time with patients of all kinds in his practice to help them be at their best, and help in both pain management and active care lifestyle.
