Dr. Jerell Ordonio

Dr. Jerell Ordonio is a licensed Acupuncturist graduating with his Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine and his Doctorate in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health and Science (formerly Pacific College of Oriental Medicine). His treatments incorporate various modalities including massage, cupping, gua sha, electric stimulation, and Chinese herbs. Jerell’s Acupuncture training includes clinical internships at Topkare hospice in Kearny Mesa and UCSD’s Owen’s clinic in Hillcrest treating individuals dealing with HIV and the psycho emotional aspects of the condition. Jerell is a San Diego native and veteran who joined the military in 2010 and served 4 years in the United States Navy working as a military police. He provided waterborne security to military assets along US government and NATO piers, while also escorting naval vessels in and out of military jurisdiction zones. After leaving the armed forces in 2014, he pursued a career in the medical field by studying to become a nurse. He decided on a career change in holistic medicine after a vehicle accident. On his spare time he enjoys playing video games, working out, spending time with family and friends, cooking, and reading books on subjects to further enhance his life and career. As part of the LGBTQ+ community, he has worked with the non-profit organization Impulse San Diego and continues to volunteer at the LGBT Community Center to help educate and provide resources to the LGBT community, at-risk youth, and homeless population. He loves chocolate and has an interest in the arts, fashion, architecture, and urban design/development.
