Alyson began her massage therapy training in 2013 at the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage, where she discovered a genuine passion for helping people feel better. Wanting to expand her ability to support clients more fully, she continued her education in esthetics in 2014, specializing in foot care and skincare—skills that naturally complement her hands-on therapeutic work. In 2015, Alyson graduated with her 2,200-hour Registered Massage Therapy diploma from ACMT. She specializes in deep tissue massage, sports therapy, and joint mobilization, supporting clients with pain relief, recovery, and improved mobility. Alyson has pursued extensive continuing education over the years, allowing her to work with a wide range of clients and tailor each treatment to individual needs. Alyson has been an RMT for the people of Fort McMurray for many years and looks forward to seeing both new and returning faces at her new space at Modern Calm!
Our Modern Calm Signature Massage is a personalized, results-driven experience designed around you. Choose between relaxation, deep tissue, or therapeutic styles, your Registered Massage Therapist will tailor the session in real time — based on your body, your goals, and how you’re feeling that day. Your treatment begins with a brief consultation to determine: --> Preferred pressure (light, medium, deep) --> Areas of focus or tension --> Desired outcome (relaxation, recovery, or targeted relief) From there, your therapist integrates a variety of techniques to create a session that is both deeply effective and restorative. No two sessions are the same — because no two days in your body are the same.
