Jon then completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at McMaster University. While there, he experienced some pelvic floor dysfunction and knew to search for a pelvic health physiotherapist. He was astonished to find the limited options in the Greater Toronto Area for male pelvic health. Jon came to CURA to expand his skillset and now enjoys helping men with nowhere else to turn for their pelvic issues. Jon currently presents for the Kipnes Center to men pre- and post-prostatectomy. He is also involved in a research project targeted at improving the quality of life of men after prostatectomy. You may also find him in the community educating the public regarding male pelvic health and balance. He loves helping the guys with their pelvic concerns but also enjoys helping anybody with their typical physiotherapy needs! He has worked and volunteered with people of all ages and has a blast doing so. Style/Ideology Jon helps identify lifestyle and movement patterns contributing to symptoms and provides solutions to help get you better. Exercise is essential to his treatment plans, and he tries to make it as straightforward as possible. Jon typically takes a gentle approach to manual therapy and still sees great improvements in his client’s progress. He can perform dry needling if you’re into that or other gadgets if the situation requires it. Fun Fact Jon hiked to the top of Mount Temple on his second hike ever. He is also a born and raised Blue Jays, Raptors and Leafs fan (don’t hate).
