Jian Zhou is a Registered Massage Therapist and a graduate of the Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy program at Makami College. He is a member in good standing of the Certified Registered Massage Therapists Association of Canada (CRMTA). Jian has a strong clinical foundation in therapeutic massage, with areas of focus including deep tissue, myofascial release, sports massage, relaxation, stress-management treatments, and targeted functional massage therapy. Before transitioning into massage therapy, Jian spent 18 years in higher education and athletic training. He worked as a university-level instructor and coach in badminton and track and field, holds the academic title of Associate Professor in China, and earned a Master’s degree in Physical Education. This background gives him extensive expertise in human movement science, exercise physiology, physical conditioning, and sport-related rehabilitation. In his clinical practice, Jian integrates exercise science principles and athletic training experience to support functional improvement, injury prevention, recovery, and long-term physical resilience. He takes a science-based, client-centred approach, tailoring treatments to each individual’s goals and lifestyle. Jian also values the role of massage therapy in healthy aging and longevity. By supporting soft-tissue health, joint mobility, nervous system regulation, and stress reduction, he helps clients build sustainable physical function and long-term well-being.
