About Mia Rooney Mia Rooney is a licensed massage therapist who believes massage therapy is about more than just working out tension - it's about supporting the whole person. Her sessions are thoughtful, personalized, and focused on what each client truly needs. Mia can target chronic tension, ease pain, improve mobility, or simply help clients reset and reconnect with their bodies using a vast variety of techniques. Some include Swedish Massage, Myofascial work and Reflexology. Whether you're looking for relief, recovery support, or a moment of calm, her work is tailored to meet you where you are. She creates a calm, welcoming space where clients can feel comfortable, heard, and supported. Her goal is simple: to help you leave feeling lighter, more balanced, and more at ease in your body. My Story My path to massage therapy started early. My mom is a massage therapist, so l grew up seeing the impact intentional, skilled touch can have on someone's life. Hearing her stories of helping people feel relief and reconnect with their bodies inspired me, and over time, it became clear this was the path I wanted to follow. To me Massage therapy is more than just relieving tension. It's about creating space for people to slow down, reset, and feel supported in a real way. Being trusted with someone's healing is something I take seriously, and I'm proud to carry on work that makes a meaningful difference. Outside of my practice, I value a calm and balanced home life with my husband and our cats. That grounded energy carries into my sessions and helps me create a space where clients can truly relax and feel cared for. This isn't just a career for me it's work I truly believe in. My Approach I believe massage works best when it's intentional and personalized. Every body is different, so every session starts with listening to what you share and to what your body communicates. I blend therapeutic and relaxation-based techniques to meet each client's needs. This includes deep tissue, Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, reflexology and more. I can mix and match approaches to target chronic tension, ease pain, improve mobility, or create space for deep relaxation. Pressure, pacing, and focus areas are always adjusted to make sure the session feels supportive, effective and tailored to you. My goal isn't just short-term relief. I want you to leave feeling grounded, supported and more connected to your body. What to Expect Your session begins with a quick conversation about what you're needing and any areas you'd like to focus on. This helps me customize the session just for you. Communication is always welcome -before, during, and after so you feel fully heard and supported. During the massage, I adjust techniques, pressure, and focus areas based on your body and comfort. I combine approaches like deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release and reflexology to make sure the session feels effective, supportive, and tailored to your needs. The experience is calm, respectful, and designed for you to fully relax. Afterward, you might feel lighter, looser or deeply relaxed. Healing doesn't stop once you leave the room- sometimes I'll suggest simple aftercare or homework exercises to help you carry the benefits of your session into your daily life. These are always gentle, practical, and personalized, so you can keep feeling supported and connected to your body even after the massage ends.
