Murray has a strong foundation in athletics and human movement. Holding a degree in Kinesiology and over 20 years of experience as an educator, he brings a deep understanding of biomechanics, injury prevention, and rehabilitation to every treatment. His practice focuses on orthopedic style assessment and treatment, integrating techniques such as Muscle Energy Techniques (MET), deep tissue therapy, active release, and myofascial release to help reduce pain, restore function, and improve performance. Murray’s interest in becoming an RMT came from his athletic background where he personally experienced how massage therapy can help people to recover from injury and assist them with their demands of daily activities. Murray was a teacher for 24 years and owned and operated his own gym facility. As a personal trainer, he often referred clients for manual therapy such as Chiropractic, Physiotherapy and Massage Therapy. Massage Therapy proved to be the treatment of choice for most clients. He chose Massage Therapy because of his curiosity to learn more about how the body works. Murray’s goal is to promote exceptional care and encourage patients to be proactive in their health care. Through regular treatments, exercise, body awareness and education, he encourages healthy lifestyles. Murray has a holistic approach to treatment. Some of the techniques he employs are Swedish, Trigger Point release, fascial and myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, PNF stretching and strengthening.
