Dr. YI XIAO , a Washington State licensed Acupuncturist and Eastern Medicine practitioner, obtained her Master’s and Doctoral degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine. She has had more than 7 years of clinical experience. Having been a computer software engineer for decades prior to pursuing her passion for Chinese Medicine, she believes people’s Qi / vitality can be understood, regulated and balanced in a structural way in order to stay healthy and energetic. She is talented in “feeling” the Qi with a very unique palpatory skill which provides critical information for her diagnosis and treatment strategies. Her treatment modalities include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, tuina, guasha, cupping, and moxibustion. She is proficient in TCM, Japanese and Five-Element styles of acupuncture. She has clinical efficacy in treating all kinds of pain, psychological distress, insomnia, autoimmune issues, skin disorders, irregular menses, after stroke disabilities, long COVID symptoms, geriatric conditions and more.
