Rachel graduated with honours from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and has been practicing in both a clinical and spa setting since. Rachel is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and has completed her Level 3 certification with the Vodder School. This allows her to perform Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT), including - manual lymph drainage (MLD), compression therapy (bandages & garments), edema exercises and skin care. Prior to her massage training, Rachel obtained a Bachelors of Science in Agroecology. from UBC and worked in Environmental science for 10 years before deciding on a career change. Rachel loves that massage allows her to combine her interest in health and wellness with her passion for helping others. She aims to create a caring and welcoming space for all individuals and collaborates with patients to create a treatment plan that works for them. Her treatments aim to blend both therapeutic and relaxation techniques to calm the nervous system and address the root cause of your pain. Rachel employs a variety of techniques including swedish, myofascial techniques, passive movement, deep tissue, trigger point release and manual lymphatic drainage. When she is not in the clinic Rachel enjoys dancing, running, weight training and reading.
