He is also a longtime yoga practitioner, and began teaching yoga in 2002. He has attended a month-long course of advanced classes at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune, India, and also observed the institutes therapeutic medical classes. When appropriate, Mark incorporates yoga postures, breathing and concentration practices into PT treatment. Mark brings deep knowledge of neuro-musculoskeletal science, along with an artful, eclectic mix of manual therapy skills and an attentive presence, to each client session. He considers manual therapy to be an educational process, using informed touch to facilitate efficient movement, which is the basis of all healing and growth.
