Sandra is the owner of Waypoint Physiotherapy and feels extremely privileged to work with the residents of all ages and abilities of the Saanich Peninsula, Brentwood Bay and Highlands. Sandra graduated from the University of Victoria (BSc in Biology with Distinction) in 2004, and obtained her Master’s of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia in 2007. She has worked since then in private practice, throughout BC, and the last 8 years on the Saanich Peninsula. Sandra grew up in Victoria riding horses, and competed in show jumping, representing Canada twice at the North American Young Rider’s Championships, earning a team Gold Medal in 2000. For the past ten years she has been more involved in mountain biking, trail running and adventure racing. She has completed the BC Bike Race and Trans Rockies, eight Mind Over Mountain adventure races, and many ultramarathons from 50km to 200+miles, with the most recent being the 2019 Tahoe 200 miler. Since graduating from UBC, she has completed many post graduate courses. She is certified in medical acupuncture as well as IMS / Dry Needling. She has also completed multiple vestibular rehabilitation, manual therapy and pain neuroscience education courses. Outside of the clinic she can be found on the trails in the Highlands with her two dogs Mari and Petey, or volunteering for Search and Rescue.
