My massage journey began unexpectedly. As a wedding and boudoir photographer, I noticed my clients often mentioned needing a massage after their sessions. This sparked an idea: to help them not only look their best but also feel their best. I enrolled in massage school at Cortiva in 2018, but the program unfortunately shut down. Determined to pursue my passion, I transferred to HACC and graduated in 2020, right at the start of the pandemic. My perspective on massage evolved significantly during my studies. I realized it's not just about relaxation; it's about holistic well-being mental, emotional, and physical. I learned how interconnected our bodies are and how imbalances in one area can affect others. Since graduating, I've honed my skills in various modalities, including Swedish, deep tissue, and pregnancy massage. I've also expanded my knowledge through continuing education in orthopedic massage, cupping, and Gua Sha. My focus is creating a safe and supportive space for clients to unwind and release tension on all levels. I believe in client-centered care, tailoring each session to individual needs. Massage has shown me the incredible healing power of the body when given the right support. My goal is to help you leave feeling rejuvenated and more mindful of your overall well-being. Even small changes can have a significant impact.
Therapeutic Massage focuses more on relaxation to help ease tension and stress in the mind and body. I use a combination of relaxation and specific massage techniques to help activate the parasympathetic nervous system rest and digest. Therapeutic Massage can help to promote relaxation, reduces stress/anxiety, decreases pain/discomfort, increases circulation and releases muscle tension. It can help calm mental, emotional, and physical stress in the body, which may help improve sleep.
