Erin has been practicing bodywork for over two decades. After graduating from The Pennsylvania State University she had the chance to work as a recreation/aquatic therapist at a childrens rehabilitation hospital. Here is where Watsu (a form of aquatic bodywork) was first introduced and later practiced. Without even experiencing a session Erin enrolled in Watsu classes because the effects were profound on patients. This experience inspired her to pursue massage and aquatic bodywork. From 2003-2006 Erin studied with the Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association to become a Watsu Practitioner, and graduated from Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy in 2005. Since relocating to Lafayette,CO in 2005 Erin has had the opportunity to work with a chiropractor, recreation senior center, spa, and apothecary. Additional education includes Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Medical Massage, Reiki, Waterdance (underwater bodywork), and Medi-Cupping.
A popular form of bodywork that promotes overall relaxation. Long flowing strokes combined with kneading and gentle range of motion are used to help calm the nervous system. Benefits include reduction in stress, relieves muscle tension, and supports overall wellness and sleep quality.
