Mikaela (she / her) earned her undergraduate degree here at the University of Victoria in Biology. With a strong interest in promoting health and physical activity, Mikaela went on to complete her Masters of Physiotherapy at Western University in Ontario. Mikaela has had the opportunity to practice in a variety of settings. Her experience includes working with individuals with neurological conditions (stroke, brain injury, etc.), long-COVID, and acute and chronic orthopaedic conditions. Mikaela believes in a patient centred approach, using the patients goals and input to guide her treatment planning. Mikaela uses a multi-modal approach integrating hands-on therapy, patient education and functional exercises into her treatments to get clients back to what they love. Mikaela is excited to be back in Victoria! In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, playing cards with friends, or exploring the beautiful beaches of the island!
