Maleen graduated from VCMT in December 2024 with a diploma in Registered Massage Therapy and has worked as a personal trainer for six years. Their practice is dedicated to helping people become their best selves by enabling them to do the things they love for as long as possible. During their clinical internship, Maleen worked with a diverse range of clients, including athletes from UBC’s sports teams, individuals with cognitive impairments at Summit, and aging populations at various levels of independence at Louis Brier Home and Hospital. Maleen takes a somatic and movement-integrative approach, making patients active participants in their health and wellness. Each treatment is tailored to the individual’s goals and comfort level. They incorporate Swedish massage, neuromuscular techniques, myofascial techniques, and other therapeutic modalities. After each session, Maleen provides a home care plan that is both manageable and effective to support long-term well-being. Maleen encourages everyone to come as they are and leave with a sense of ownership and empowerment over their body and wellness.
