Javad completed his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at York University before pursuing his master’s degree in Physiotherapy at Queen’s University. Throughout his schooling, he worked as a personal trainer with collegiate athletes and the general population. Currently, Javad works at Sunnybrook Holland Orthopedics Centre alongside a team of orthopedic Surgeons, working with patients before and after joint replacement and reconstruction surgeries. Working at the hospital has allowed him to better understand the patient’s needs at different stages of injury and recovery. Javad enjoys thoroughly listening to his patients to learn what makes people tick. After a comprehensive initial assessment, he works with his patients to create a treatment program focusing on improving physical literacy through constant education and movement-based therapy supplemented with hands-on techniques such as Dry Needling and manual therapy to make progress at each session. Javad grew up in Toronto, playing competitive soccer in the OYSL and League1. Now, in his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, running along the waterfront and repeatedly picking up heavy objects at the gym.
