Seth Acua MMP, NCBTMB, LMT graduated from Superior Iberoamericano Institute, San Jos, Costa Rica (2002) and Johnson County Community College JCCC in Overland Park, KS (2006), as a massage therapist. He speaks English and Spanish and practiced massage therapy for several years in Costa Rica. Currently he is a medical massage practitioner (MMP), nationally board certified for therapeutic massage and bodywork (NCBTMB), a licensed massage therapist (LMT), and associated with the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) in Kansas and Missouri. After being a graphic designer for fourteen years at a newspaper in Costa Rica, Seth discovered massage therapy in 1998 and it changed his life. He now operates a thriving massage practice in Overland Park, Kansas, employing medical, therapeutic Swedish, deep tissue, sport, chair massage, lymphatic drainage, acupressure, trigger point, rotator cuff treatment and cupping techniques to meet clients needs.
Medical massage incorporates many techniques to address muscle and skeletal issues diagnosed by a doctor. Deep tissue massage, Chinese cupping, acupressure/trigger point therapy, sport massage, rotator cuff treatment, lymphatic drainage massage with cupping therapy and reflexology are available and added onto most sessions.
